This project apply the NodeMCU ESP8266 as it is a microcontroller embbed together with Wi-Fi
along with four sensors DHT22, Ultrasonic, Soil Moisture and pH sensor.

Week 14

Report Writing on Preliminary Results (Chapter 4).

I have continue my report writing on the chapter 4 which is the preliminary results of studies. So throughout this semester, I did some experiment on constructing a circuit that would gather information in the field by implementing two sensors which is the ultrasonic sensor and DHT 11 sensor. The outcome is grouped under the initial result.

  • INITIAL RESULT
    1. Arduino IDE software

The software I implement is Arduino IDE. In this project, the Arduino IDE software are used to program the LoRa technology along with the controller of Arduino UNO implementation and all the sensor utilize in the field. Below is the coding on how the program are created. Throughout this semester, the initial result is obtained by programming the controller of Arduino UNO and two sensors of ultrasonic sensor and DHT 11 for temperature and humidity measurement.

        2.    Serial Monitor in Arduino IDE

                      
                                           


From the coding that were programmed, student able to receive feedback on how it will show up in the dashboard. By clicking the Serial Monitor in the Arduino IDE software, student can view the Monitoring System Dashboard. The reading of the humidity, temperature, heat index, and the water level are collected and shown. The indicator for the water level is connected to the LED and buzzer as well. The video shows the initial that I have obtain.

For the expected results, I am implementing the software of MySQL Databased and Grafana Dashboard. By implement the below software, students able to create a database where users will save all their information regarding the crop plantation here. A dashboard will be created as it will help farmer to keep track and manage their cultivated land easier yet cost efficiency.
