Week 3

Introductory for Final Year Project 1 Briefing

In week 3, this is the first week for students of the Final Year Project to gather and given a briefing by Dr. Zuhanis Mansor. She brief us an overview of what we need to do in this final year project. Unlike previous semesters, this briefing was conducted online using the Microsoft Team. The brief started at 3pm where she covers on the assessments scheme, thesis submission process, presentation day, forms submission and the final year project claim. Moreover, she also informed to us about the innovation coordinator where each section were given a Person-In-Charge (PIC) for us to contact if we had issues. For the communication technology section, the PIC is Dr. Punithavathi D/O Thirunavakkarasu.

From this brief, students are informed that the presentation day for FYP 1 will take place in the 12th week dated October 14th, 2020. Therefore, the preparation was about 9 weeks for students to do the research and finalize their projects. Students were given 2 weeks to consult with their supervisor about the submission of a Final Year Project title that is suitable for their project, and therefore, during the 4th and 5th weeks, students are given ample time to discuss / meeting with their supervisor.

As for the project claimed, for Final Year Project 1 students, majority of students will present their project via the research carried out during this semester. So any statements made for this semester can be used for next semester when students develop their prototype project.
