Week 6

 Report Writing on Introduction (Chapter 1)

In week 6, I started to write the research report by identifying a few points which are the problem statement, the objective of study, and scope and limitation of study. 

For the  problem statement are identify in this study. There are some common problems that may be occur at all levels of paddy field management and often recur in other general crop management which is the Human and Logistic management. These category is split into two, those are:

The Legal Obligations

The farmers need to know and be aware of all the legal obligations relation to their agricultural production for the field.

The Record Keeping

It is very essential to record and monitor each information and keep in the databased for long haul assessment. Regardless of the chance that  it is a physical pollution or peril issues, or anything involving security issues. When there is any issues occur in the venture, farmers could utilize the information recorded to trace the source of the problem and ready to overcome it. 

Next, the objective of study that I have collected are :

• To develop a prototype monitoring systems for managing agriculture environment.
• To enable the systems to store data for current and future analysis.
• To utilize Long Range (LoRa) Technology and Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the systems.

The scope of this project is for farmers who owns more that one agriculture land which are scattered in different area which consumes kilometers apart from each other.

However, there are some limitation that has been discovered throughout this research which is LoRa Technology is a new wireless technology and people are lack of information and knowledge in implementing this technology. Next is the LoRa Technology has a low data rate when transmitting data. It is not suitable for user who are transmitting bigger data  like image or video. Therefore this is why it is very suitable for monitoring activities only. Other than that, for experimental purpose LoRa devices are quite expensive to setup. However for a bigger scope of management, such as this agricultural management than it is consider cheaper as it would help to manage and monitor a bigger scale of land. Lastly, the limitation is as the LoRa Technology is a wireless technology therefore it could lead to unstable connection.
