This project apply the NodeMCU ESP8266 as it is a microcontroller embbed together with Wi-Fi
along with four sensors DHT22, Ultrasonic, Soil Moisture and pH sensor.

This blog shall shows progress report/logbook on my Final Year Project.

Week 7

Workshop on Literature Review (Chapter 2).

In Week 7, the workshop of FYP briefing are given on Chapter 2 which is the Literature ReviewThis part also will discuss and explain about the important information about this project. To develop a new method for this project, the literature of previous work is needed to ensure that the same method is not repeated. The literature of the previous work and present work are needed in order to do some research for the development of the system. This chapter also give a better understanding about the development of the project and it can help to improve the project. 



Summarization of three research papers.

For the literature review, it is advice that students should used at least three articles, therefore I have collected three papers that shows different ways on managing their crop but still share a similar objectives where it is to help farmer on managing their crops. Above shows the summarization for three research paper.

Comparison Table Between Three Papers and My Research.
 

This are the table made in comparing the other three papers I have research with the prototype I will develop. So, in the first paper, they implement the transmission of Wi-Fi with the controller of Raspberry Pi by utilizing two sensors that are the soil sensor and temperature & humidity sensor. Next, for the second paper, the researcher are implementing the controller of Arduino with the transmission of Radio Frequency by utilizing two other sensors as well which are the moisture sensor and temperature & humidity sensor. Moreover, for the third paper, this paper develop their project by implementing Wi-Fi transmission using the controller of Node MCU with the sensors of pH sensor and temperature & humidity sensor. Lastly, as seen in figure above, in my prototype I shall develop a transmission on LoRa Technology with controller of Arduino to control the sensor in the field which are the moisture sensor, temperature/humidity/pressure sensor and two more sensor which are the water quality sensor and pH sensor. As you can see, the sensor used in the other three paper are quite similar therefore I upgraded this project for a wider management systems by adding two more sensors.
