This project apply the NodeMCU ESP8266 as it is a microcontroller embbed together with Wi-Fi
along with four sensors DHT22, Ultrasonic, Soil Moisture and pH sensor.

Week 19

Research on NodeMCU ESP8266

The figure above shows the pin of NodeMCU ESP8266. It has a 12 digital pin and 1 analog pin on the board,  researchers who are implementing a project with a lot of digital input are the most suitable to use the equipment.The wireless technology of Wi-Fi network are implemented with NodeMCU (Node MicroController Unit) which are an accessible software and hardware development platform built on the ESP8266, a moderate System-on-a-Chip (SoC).

The Espressif Systems ESP8266 includes all of the required computer components, such as a CPU, RAM, networks (WiFi), and even a current operating system and SDK. As a sense, it is an excellent choice for Internet of Things (IoT) applications of all sorts. The NodeMCU comes in a variety of packaging designs. The ESP8266 core is shared by all designs. The conventional 30-pin configuration has been kept in designs based on the architecture. 

Some designs have a compact footprint, while others have a large footprint — this is a crucial issue to keep in mind. The Amica (with standard narrow pin spacing) and the LoLin are the most prevalent NodeMCU models (with wider pin spacing and a bigger board). As its base ESP8266 is accessible, the industry may continually create new versions of the NodeMCU.
